[GRRiders] Camping, hostels, etc. in Davis?

Hi Charlene:
There¹s a Kampground of America in West Sacramento
<http://www.sacramentokoa.com/>. It¹s probably a 10-15-minute drive from
Davis. I¹ve never been there, so I can¹t comment on the facilities. West
Sacramento is definitely an urban environment, and the location is right off
of Interstate-80, so I wouldn¹t bargain on a bucolic camping experience.

The only other nearby campground I can think of is Lake Solano, which is
about a 25-30-minute drive west of Davis:
<http://www.co.solano.ca.us/SubSection/SubSection.asp?NavID=609>. Davis
cyclists sometimes stop there for water. The campground is right next to
Putah Creek, and it seems like a nice enough place. There are other
campgrounds further up Putah Creek and on Lake Berryessa, but they¹re
farther from Davis.

That¹s all I can think of, but perhaps someone else will have some better
ideas.

Amy

Subject: [GRRiders] Camping, hostels, etc. in Davis?

I'm just curious about accommodations in Davis other than hotels and motels.
Are there any campgrounds or hostels there? I know there is a hostel in
Sacramento ... would that be the closest one?

Thanks,
Charlene
