The address of the Tandem Properties Bldg. (start/finish) is:
3500 Anderson Rd., near where Anderson ends at F St./Rd. 101A.

To answer Bill's question about the start/finish of the GRR, both the start and finish will very likely be at the Tandem Properties bldg. This is where the start was in 2001. The Boy Scout Cabin is being rented by a local organization other than the Boy Scouts, so we can't use it as the finish. The nearest motel to S/F is probably the Hallmark Inn, 2.5 miles south on F Street. But there are several other motels very nearby that may be less expensive.

Also, we thought it would be more convenient to have the start and finish at the same location this time. Tandem Properties bldg. is at the edge of town, so no stop lights and heavy downtown traffic to face on your way out.

The Hallmark is popular with many randonneurs since the Davis brevets all
start there (in the Boy Scout Cabin parking lot across the street). There
is also a restaurant nearby [along with many others in easy walking distance
in downtown Davis.] It is where I'd probably stay if needing pre-GRR
accommodations. There are several other motels nearby, all w/ similar
prices. For lower prices, the Motel 6 is east of town about 4 miles.

In 2001 the Hallmark/Boy Scout Cabin lot was the location of the pre-GRR
tech inspection for bikes & lights and the drop-bag pick-up place, and a
couple days later, it was the finish line location.

The actual GRR start was a 2.5 mile ride north on F street from the Hallmark
Hotel/Boy Scout Cabin lot, so riders got a short warm-up before the
departure.

Daryn & Dan-- will the Boy Scout Cabin be used in 2005 as it was in 2001?
