Good news about the water stop. I recall when I did Rocky Mountain 1200
in 2002 that with services few and far between, getting water was often
a challenge. I don't use a Camelbak - my normal setup is with two 750mm
bottles, but on RM1200 I had a small water bottle to carry extra water.
Even that didn't always suffice. What is the longest interval between
water stops while in the mountains?

Someone in my club who is also doing Gold Rush mentioned that a
secondary lighting system was mandatory. I normally ride with two
lighting systems, but rarely use the secondary one - my primary is a
Shimano hub generator powering a Lumotec 2.4W halogen and a Union 0.6W
taillight. The secondary headlight I was going to use is a Planet Bike
Powerspot 1W LED light. Is the acceptable?
